This Unit is intended to be a supplement to the textbook. Most US or American history books will include extensive information on W.W.I and the major decisions that led to the signing of the Treaty of Versailles. The student will be guided through the economic, political process of making a "lasting" peace after the conclusion of the War.

Objectives:

  • Upon completion of this unit, the student will be able to:
  • Identify and analyze primary source documents.
  • Develop an informed opinion on difficult decisions made in history
  • Write persuasively in presenting their opinion.
  • Develop research skills while investigating historical data.
  • Apply problem solving skills to real life problems.
Recommended Grade Level:

This unit is designed specifically for students in grades 10 – 12.

Time required to complete this unit:

 4 – 6 class periods.

Materials needed:
Access to a computer lab, internet browser, word processing software, US History textbook.
