Unit Vocabulary Study – Presentation and study of the unit’s vocabulary.

· Computers with PowerPoint software

· Projection Device

· 1^st Vocabulary PowerPoint

· 2^nd Vocabulary PowerPoint

· Vocabulary worksheets

o Worksheet 1

o Worksheet 2

o Worksheet 3

o Worksheet 4

o Worksheet 5

Timeframe: 2 class periods

Method of Delivery: whole class/group work

1. Have students in a computer lab where they can have access to PowerPoint software.  Explain to the students that there will be a quiz on the 3^rd day of the activity.

There are two days in this activity so:

2. Each day, present one section of the vocabulary to the class. (Recite/Repeat).

3. Afterward, present the appropriate PowerPoint presentation for that vocabulary section (1^st Vocabulary PowerPoint, 2^nd Vocabulary PowerPoint) several times, having them practice the vocabulary.

4. Have students break up into groups and review on their own.

5. At the end of the period, have the students do Worksheet 1 and Worksheet 2 the first day, and Worksheet 3, 4, and 5 the second day.

Go over the answers as a class and allow students to correct their own answers.
