Materials Needed:

o Textbook: Paso a Paso 2 © Scott Foresman and Co

o Speaking Proficiency Worksheet

o Speaking Proficiency Rubric

Timeframe: 2 class periods

Method of Delivery: Whole class / groups

Teaching Tips:

1. Allow students to get into groups of two.

2. Hand out the Speaking Proficiency Worksheet.

3. Inform the students that they will, in groups of two, figure the answers to the questions using the appropriate tense, either the preterite or the imperfect.

4. They will both memorize the answers to the questions that they come up with.

5. In the second class period, the students will come up in pairs. One will ask the questions and the other will answer only five of the questions. Then they will trade off and the other person will ask and the opposing student will answer.

6. Teacher formal evaluation. Use the Speaking Proficiency Rubric.
