What is a Unit of Practice?

A Unit of Practice...

	is a complete unit.
	is based upon learning standards.
	includes focus, inquiry, application, and assessment activities.
	tends to be more student-centered.
	allows student choices on gathering, organizing, and presenting information.
	utilizes authentic assessment.
